In the course of the last decade, countering cybercrime has become one of the paramount priorities for the EU. Due to its cross-boundary nature, cybercrime involves a wide range of cyber threats, victims, cyber offenders and modi operandi and it affects both the public and private domains.

In this episode of the CYBBAR Podcast, we will focus on the typology of cyber-attacks against businesses in Europe. Our host Dr. Tommaso Comunale, Security Analyst at the Center for the Study of Democracy will be discussing the potential that private actors have in terms of prevention and response to cyber threats with our special guest Dr. Rutger Leukfeldt, Senior Researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement and Director of the Centre of Expertise Cyber Security at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Together, they will be sharing their insights on how businesses can better protect themselves against cyberattacks.
